Soak Wines – Fundraising, Wine Education & Consultancy.
My name is Declan Barron, the proprietor of Soak Wines; welcome to the new Soak Wines web site. Down the track this web site will grow into the ‘face’ of Soak Wines, with loads of resources on how to use wine for fundraising, retail sales, tasting notes, my “Soaked” blog, hints and tips and a wine
education section.
Fundraising
I did a little fundraising, very successfully, using cleanskin wines with my previous employer, Parkhill Cellars and for my children’s school. Soak Wines will specialize in this area, I have successfully run events and provided wines for a number of organizations in the community and education sector over a number of years and feel that this can work even better if I run it more professionally.
Soak Wines formally started in January and I am still finalising the last few infrastructure issues to run the business properly.
Having been involved in a number of community organizations I now how short money can be. That is why I offer no upfront payments, the wine is provided to you prior to payment, any unused wine can be returned without any charge. The aim of Soak Wines is to return 30% to 45% of all monies from wine sales to the organization as net profit.
Our first release of wines is listed in our wine pages; the list will focus on great value quality wines that are enjoyable now.

Clare Shiraz Cabernet Shiraz 2002 (retails for $14.99), your price $7.99, suggested selling price $11.99 or $4.00 per glass.
Other Services Planned are:
Customised Labels using organization logos, photos or other graphics.
Free glass hire.
Free tasting bottles, 1 of each wine on tasting.
Preparation of tasting notes, order forms, promotional flyers etc.
Assistance with running tastings or stalls.
Assistance with obtaining Community Liquor Licenses

Soak Wines is able to provide a full range of wine education experiences from single Introductory to Wine Appreciation sessions to full six-week courses. Consultancy
With many years experience in the liquor industry in retail, auctions & wine education, Declan Barron from Soak Wines is able to provide consultancy services to retailers, restaurants/cafés, clubs, wine groups and private individuals.
