Declan has been involved in raising money for the school by selling wine at several school functions and during four wine drives and tastings over the past two and a half years, raising a profit of more than $5,500 for the school.
The administration of the events has been very easy for us, with Declan organising flyers, free tasting bottles, order forms and the like. The school faced no upfront costs and the simple billing system made the administration of the events very easy. Declan’s professional running of the wine stalls have been an important part of the school’s fund raising efforts.
Declan is clearly passionate and knowledgeable about wine and is able to engage many people with his warm and friendly manner. We’ve found the tastings to be professionally run, becoming eagerly anticipated by parents and teachers alike and adding a relaxed welcoming atmosphere to our school functions.

Dear Declan,
I am writing to thank you for your help with supplying the wine and glasses for the Friends of Aileu Trivia Quiz held on 6 August 2004.
The night was a great success with over $8000 raised to support the Cr. Andy Ingham – Aileu Scholarship fund. More than 200 people joined MC Brian Nankervis in the Brunswick Town Hall for the quiz, auctions, games and other fun.
All of the funds raised will go to assisting people in the Aileu District of East Timor…
